Walter W. Fielder Jr.
Walter William Fielder Jr. 77, of Okay, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019. He was born on January 1, 1942 to Walter William Fielder Sr. and Rachel (Bagwell) Fielder in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Walter married the love of his life Ellen Maxine (Smith) Fielder on September 5, 1986 in Wagoner, Oklahoma.
Walter was an Auto Mechanic for most years of his life. He also worked at Fansteel Metals and Southern Material. He also served in the Army during the Vietnam era. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, raising pigeons, beating his grandkids at cards and watching them play sports. He enjoyed watching OU Football and Nascar as well. Most of all, he had a passion for gardening and loved sharing it with family, friends, and neighbors.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Rachel Fielder and Walter Fielder Sr; sister, Patricia Fielden; and daughter, Stephanie Elaine Pearson.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Fielder; brother, Don Fielder; children, Melanie Thayer, Tony and Jennifer Fielder, Jimi Ouzts, Billy Ouzts, and Charles Pearson; grandchildren, Cortney Berry and Coop Reagor, Whitney Pearson, Amanda and Ricky Merrill, Jessica Pearson, Megan Fielder, Autumn Rowell, Kristil Ouzts, and Cody Fielder; great-grandchildren, Jayden, McKinleigh, and Callan; special cousin, Roger and Cheryl Williams; and a host of other family and friends to cherish his memories.
A celebration of Walter's life will be held 5:30pm-7:30pm Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The grandchildren, Megan, Jessica, Cody, Whitney, Amanda, Cortney, Kristil, and Autumn will be serving as Honorary Pallbearers.
