Muskogee, OK - Vergil McKeldon Fleming Jr.

Vergil was born April 4, 1946, in Savannah, Georgia, and died in Muskogee on May 17 after an extended period of declining health. He spent most of his life in southern California before coming to Muskogee in the early 90's.

Working as a salesman in the field of electronics, he won many distinguished awards and made lasting friendships. He married Suzanne Barns in 2002, and they spent 23 wonderful years together.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Suzanne, his son Brian Fleming, his daughter Laura Warren, stepson Nate Barns and wife Sandie, stepdaughter Susannah Kilpatrick and husband Darren, stepdaughter Sacheen Lelli and husband Bryan, mother of his children Sally Parker, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of friends. Preceding him in death, grandson Brian Fleming, mother and father Vergil and Alice Fleming, and former wife Cindy Koehn-Fleming.

A celebration of Verg's life will be held at Max's Garage in Muskogee on Sunday, June 14, from 4:00-6:00pm. Please come and share stories and memories of your friend, Verg.
