On Sunday, September 15, 2019, Tommye Pollard, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away at the age 71. Tommye was born on January 24, 1948 in Muskogee, OK to Doyle and Lucille (Hill) Paris. On May 21, 1965, she married James Pollard, together celebrating 54 years of marriage. Together they raised a son, Jeremy James Pollard. Tommye loved sitting on their front porch in Stonewall, watching the birds and the variety of wildlife that crossed the pasture. She had an infectious smile and laughter that made everyone feel welcome. She never met a stranger and welcomed everyone into her home. Tommye and her husband owned and operated the Stonewall Shopping Bag from 1974 until 1985. She held a variety of positions throughout her life; beautician, small business owner/operator, real estate agent, and CEO for a low-income housing organization. Her passion was being a homemaker, cooking for her family, doting on her grandchildren and ensuring that no one left her house hungry. Tommye was preceded in death by her father Doyle and her mother Lucille. She is survived by her husband James, her son Jeremy, her brother John Paris and five grandchildren; Knight, James, Riley, Abbi, Willow, several cousins, nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at her home in Stonewall, CO at 1 o'clock p.m. The family asks that in lieu of sending flowers or donations, that you make a contribution to your favorite charity or organization.
