Tommie Allen Howdeshell, 85, husband of the late Lenora Howdeshell , of Wagoner, Oklahoma passed on after a long illness February 24th, 2021. Tommie was born December 2nd, 1935 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was the son of the late Clarence and Opal Howdeshell. Tommie was raised on the family dairy farm and accustomed to hard work. He graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1953 and then worked for iron workers union 584 for twenty-five years and John F. Beasley Construction for 10 years. He later worked for Oklahoma Highway Department for eleven years before retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting with grandson Jasen Wright, traveling and going on cruises with family members. Tommie enjoyed the horse races and trained a couple of winning quarterhorses. He also enjoyed hanging out at Bob's Pawn Shop. He was proud to be considered an extended family member of the Arnell Family. Tommie especially enjoyed having meals at his daughters' homes and visiting with all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by daughters Tommye Sue Wright and her husband Scott of Tahlequah; Nita Spradlin and her husband Ronnie of Hulbert; 3 sons, Allen Howdeshell of Ft. Worth, Texas, Mike Bradshaw and his wife Leslie of Jenks, Sam Bradshaw and his wife Ashley of Tahlequah. 12 grandchildren, Jasen Wright and wife Jennifer; Steven Wright and wife Bayly, Brian Wright and Rian Crager; Chas Spradlin and wife Jami, John Perry Spradlin and wife Leona, Megan Littledave and husband Josh; Cody Howdeshell, Haley Howdeshell, and Katie Martin; Kyle Bradshaw and wife Rachel, Kevin Bradshaw; and Aly Bradshaw. 16 great-grandchildren, Lexye, Nolan, Kinlye, Olivia, Max, Jett, Elton, Jackson, Averi, Lilah, Syris, Carleigh, Kaylin, Jake, Chase, and Mayci. He is also survived by brother Lindell Howdeshell and his wife Olga of Jacksonville, Arkansas, sister Barbara and her husband Jack of Tulsa, and many nephews and nieces.
In addition to his wife Lenora, he is preceded in death by his parents Clarence, and Opal Howdeshell, brother and sister in-law Leonard and Darlene Howdeshell of Keefeton.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Monday March 1, 2021 at Green Country Funeral Home. Officiating will be Reverend Mark Painter (Wagoner First Baptist Church). Serving as pallbearers are Cody Howdeshell, Jasen Wright, Steven Wright, Brian Wright, Chas Spradlin, John Spradlin, Kyle Bradshaw, and Kevin Bradshaw. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Bacon, Bob Callison, Jim Summers, and Chris Arnell. Interment will follow in the Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.
