Russell Lynn Henderson, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday March 10, 2022. He was born September 4, 1951 in Liberal, Kansas. He grew up in Oceanside, California. After high school, Class of 69, he served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. We thank him for his service. He was a Citizen of the Cherokee Nation and a long time resident of Muskogee. Russell retired in 2018 after 35 years with UPS spending his last 23 years as a Feeder Driver.

Russell enjoyed many years being on the pit crew for IMCA races in Muskogee. For many years Russell enjoyed traveling to Liberal, Kansas for Memorial Day and Labor Day holidays spending time with extended family. Many Spring and Summer days he could be seen mowing and doing yard work.

Russell is preceded in death by his parents Peggy and James Henderson, formerly of Muskogee.

Russell is survived by his wife, Janet. He is also survived by his sons Russell Lynn Henderson Jr of Oktaha, Oklahoma; Rusty Henderson of Muskogee, Oklahoma; Michael Lee Kelley of Menifee, California and John W. Kelley of Carlsbad, California. Daughters in law Bridgett Baker and Rebecca Kelley.

Russell also leaves behind his sisters Jeanette Windsor and Gail Boorman of El Cajon, California; brothers Stan Henderson of Victorville, California, James Henderson of Klamath Falls, Oregon; Larry Henderson of Lake Havasu, Arizona. Grandchildren Allie Sofia and Aubrie Jean Henderson of Oktaha; Zachary Zoll, Zabrina Zoll and Brittany Eller of Menifee, California; Jolin and John Kelley of Carlsbad, California and Great-Grandson Luca Matthew Eller of Menifee, California along with many other family members and friends.
