Ruby Jo Decker
Ruby "Jo" Decker, a longtime resident of Muskogee, OK, died Wednesday, November 20th, 2019, at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Jo was born June 4th, 1923, in Russellville, AR, to A.A. and Pearl Payne and was raised in Porter, OK. After high school she attended Draughon's Business School and went on to work at the Veteran's Administration Regional Office in Muskogee, OK, for 35+ years until her retirement. Jo was an active member of the church of Christ in Muskogee and loved gardening and travel.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Herschel and Cletis Payne; 1 sister, Jewel Butler; her first husband, Melvin Acree, her second husband, C.W. Decker; her only daughter, Jo Ann Cross; a sister-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law; a nephew; and grandson. She is survived by her sister Helen Wilson; 2 sons, Wally and Bob Decker; a number of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchilden, and great-great grandchildren.

The burial of Jo Decker will be at Memorial Park Cemetery and Mausoleum, 7600 Old Taft Road, Muskogee, OK, on Friday, December 6th, 2019, at 2 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to One Tree Planted at located at 145 Pine Haven Shores Rd #1000D,
Shelburne, VT 05482.

Jo was a very sweet and kind lady. I got to know her a little when I was the church secretary. My sympathy goes out to the family.
