Paul Mertes Young, Norman, 77, passed away on March 15, 2019, in Norman.
He was born August 27, 1941, to Paul and Elisabeth (Mertes) Young in Ardmore, OK. He attended the University of Oklahoma and then became a research librarian in the Dallas Public Library System. He later worked at Texas Tech University. He subsequently moved to Norman. He loved opera and cats.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister: Jane Barrett and her husband.
Inurnment will be at a later date in Prague, Oklahoma.
Services have been entrusted to Primrose Funeral Service.
