Myrtle Mae Rogers passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 in her home in Wagoner, Oklahoma. She was born August 3, 1929 in Cordell, Oklahoma to O. T. and Myrtle Maebell Burns.

She worked for Eagans Manufacturing for twenty-four years and also worked as the activity director for a nursing home for eight years. She married Walter Rogers July 31, 1970 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. She enjoyed volunteer work, gardening, canning and cooking for family and friends, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter Rogers in 2013; two daughters, Elainia Dawn Hurst and Edna Sue Decker; grandchildren, Jessie Rains and Katy Swafford and sisters, Evelyn Roberts and Glenda Scroggins.

She is survived by her children, Raymond "Tommy" Rains of Muskogee, Ginger Swafford and husband Edward of Porum and Larry Rogers and wife Susan of Okay; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her sister, Betty Heinrichs of Muskogee and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 19, 2016 in the Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Three Rivers Cemetery in Okay, Oklahoma under the direction of Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home.
