Mary Juanita Brown, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016, in Muskogee, at the age of 69. She was born February 24, 1947, in Porum, Oklahoma, to Carl Roy and Violet Imogene (Hughes) Ford.
Juanita is survived by; One daughter: Sherry Jenkins-Wimmer of Muskogee, Oklahoma; One son: Carl Brown of Muskogee, Oklahoma; One sister: Laura Byrd-Godfrey of Keefton, Oklahoma; Four brothers: AC Byrd of Lansing, Kansas; Herbert Byrd and wife, Joann, of Porum, Oklahoma; Jessie Byrd and wife, Sharon, of Stigler, Oklahoma; Tommy Byrd and wife, Mary, of Porum, Oklahoma; Four grandchildren: Tyler Jenkins, Bryan Jenkins, Zoey Jenkins, and Chase Brown; One great grandchild: Keelee Jenkins; Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Violet Byrd; and one sister-in-law, Joy Byrd.
Funeral services will be 10 am Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Keefton Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory of Stigler. Viewing will be at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Stigler Monday and Tuesday 8 am to 5 pm and at Mallory Chapel in Porum on Wednesday, 10 am to 8 pm.
Pallbearers will be; Tommy Byrd, Carl Brown, *Howard Godfrey*, Jessie Byrd Jr., Tyler Jenkins, Dexter Godfrey
Honorary pallbearers will be; David Byrd, Jimmy Byrd.
