Jordan Janway Obituary

Jordan Janway, age 27, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 in San Diego, California.  He was born December 2, 1986 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Lynn (Norriss) and Jack Janway. After high school, Jordan attended Northeastern State University and then moved to Chicago to complete basic training. From there, he moved to San Diego where he served with the U.S. Naval Special Warfare from 2007-2008. It was there he learned to skydive and dedicated himself to his passion.  He was a master parachute rigger and free-fall instructor for Tactical Air Operations.  He was also a camera, coach and tandem instructor for Skydive San Diego.  “Jordo” as his friends lovingly called him, graduated to wingsuit base jumping and there he found his love of true flight as he traveled the world to jump off mountaintops, his favorite being in Switzerland.  Jordan tested new tracking and wingsuit designs using ram-air technology and was an aerial photographer.  Most importantly, Jordan was a man following his dreams and lived his life to the fullest.  He was an incredible son, brother and uncle. Jordan is survived by his parents; grandmothers, JoAnn Janway, Tookie Hart and Imaree Donoho; siblings, Chandra Janway Johnson and husband Jimmie, Marianne Janway Robinson, and Caleb Janway; nephews, Seth Robison and Dalton Janway; nieces, Genevieve and Lydia Johnson.
