John Edward "Eddie" Renfro, Jr., 74 of McAlester died January 16, 2018 in McAlester.

The family will greet friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Bishop Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be 10:00 am Saturday at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Jerry Renfro and Brian Hill. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with military honors.

Pallbearers will be Jack Southard, William Howell, Raymond Brock, Devin Rolan, Greyson Rolan, and Joe Loftin

Honorary pallbearers will be David Mak, Steve Smith and The Locke Supply Staff and Contractors

John was born December 2, 1943 in Muskogee to John Edward and Margie (Riggs) Renfro, Sr. He graduated from Muskogee High School and attended Bacone College. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Italy during the Viet Nam era where he served as a military policeman with his sentry dog, Arras. John married Evelyn (Parker) Champion July 29, 1983 in Muskogee. He moved to McAlester and worked as the assistant manager at Sherwin Williams. He retired from Locke Supply where he had worked as a manager for twenty years. John loved to be outdoors; hunting, camping and he enjoyed mowing and caring for his lawn. He remodeled and repaired rent houses as well as flipping houses to sell with his wife, Evelyn. He was a member of the Baptist Faith.

John is survived by his wife, Evelyn Renfro of the home; son, Jon David Renfro of Tulsa; daughter, Tyra Mak and husband, David of Sugar Land, Texas; son, Daniel Renfro of McAlester; and daughter, Linda Champion and Steve Smith of McAlester; grandchildren: Devin Rolan and Shana Hunt, Greyson Rolan , Azlan Rolan, William "B.J." Howell and wife, Tabetha, Lauren Ragan; great grandchildren: Autumn Ragan, Bane Rolan and Creed Rolan; sister, Carolyn Hill and husband, Dennis of Ft. Gibson; brothers: Jerry Renfro and wife, Lynn of Muskogee, Rodney Renfro and wife, Arneta of Muskogee; a sister-in-laws, Nelda Reese of Roland and Karen Renfro of Tulsa; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margie Renfro; a son, Ronnie Champion in 1986; a brother, Tom Renfro; son-in-law, Bill Howell and special friend, Larry Young.
