New York, New York - Edward Ray Lehman, 70, died in New York City, on October 22, 2020 of leukemia, with his brother at his side. He was a resident of Sutton Place neighborhood in that city since 1993.

Edward was born in Muskogee, OK on November 18, 1949, to the late Ray T. and Margaret Ann (McLeod) Lehman. A 1968 graduate of Muskogee Central High School, he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma in 1972, and masters in international finance from New York University.

Starting his career in New York City with X-acto, he moved to Bridgehampton, Long Island, NY in the 1980's, where he bought two women's fashion stores, one there and the second in Southampton. In 1993, he returned to the city and began a career in advertising, arranging film "shoots" with Lotas Minard Patton McIver, Inc., whose complete staff became, and remained, family.

Edward is survived by his fiancée Francois Hougaard, brother John T. Lehman, John's wife, Christine Carlson, and their two children Ellen Ruth Lehman and Carlson McLeod Lehman, of Philadelphia, PA. A host of incredible friends who were like family, also survived him, and will miss him deeply.

Wishing to be buried alongside his mother and father, an interment service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at noon at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Arrangements by Smith-Gallo.
