Edgar (Ed) J Bradshaw Obituary

Edgar J. (Ed) Bradshaw, 99, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, died March 27, 2019. He was born May 13, 1919 in Kiowa, Oklahoma to the union of Melton and Leena Bradshaw. Ed was the last survivor of ten children in the family. He was married 58 years to LouEva Katherine Meadows who preceded him in death in September 2000.

Ed proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a combat veteran in WWII and Korea. Prior to his Korea service he graduated as a second Lieutenant from Officers Candidate School at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. After returning home from Korea he completed his military service in the Oklahoma National Guard, retiring as a Captain after 25 years military service.

As a longtime resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma he retired from Anderson Wholesale after 25 years.

Ed is survived by his son Gary Bradshaw and wife Rebecca of Conroe, Texas and daughter Melinda Harris and husband Eddie of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, April 6, 9am-3pm and Sunday, April 7, 1pm-6pm. Ed will be laid to rest, with military honors, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery on April 8th, at 2:00 p.m.
