Memorial service for Dwayne Lee, 82 of Sallisaw, Oklahoma will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
He was born on March 23, 1937 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Velma (Bingham) Lee and Hal Lee and passed away on December 21, 2019 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was married to Virginia (Ritter) Lee on May 12, 1961 in Blackgum community, Oklahoma. Mr. Lee served in the U.S. Air Force for 2 years. He was a carpenter, mechanic, heavy machine operator and farmer. He worked at Connors State College in the maintenance department and drove the activity bus. He also worked for Peter Kiewit and Sons in construction on I-40 and all turnpikes. Mr. Lee operated a service station in Warner, OK and was a volunteer fireman in Warner. He was a member of Blackgum Baptist Church and loved to fish and do woodwork.
Survivors are:
wife: Virginia of the home;
1 daughter: Vicki Welch and Don of Colleyville, TX;
1 son: Kenneth Lee and Darla of Martinsburg, WV;
3 granddaughters: Ashlee Lally, Lindsey Welch and Allison Lee;
1 grandson: David Lee and Amanda;
3 great grandchildren: Catherine and George Lally and William Lee;
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister: Wilma Jean Hatchcock and 2 brothers: Cletis and Lyndell Lee.
