Dora Jane Gilmore, 82, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. She was born January 28, 1937 in Hale Center, Texas. She worked at Walmart 14 years. Jane was happily married to Melvin Gilmore for 59 years. They raised a family in San Angelo, Texas and then made Muskogee, Oklahoma their home.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Gilmore; mother, Zora Ashley; father, L.A. Ashley; brother, John Ashley; mother-in-law, Flossie Gilmore; and father-in-law, L.C. Gilmore.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Gilmore (Dyan) of Muskogee; granddaughter, Christin Gilmore of Sour Lake, Texas; sister, J.P. Robertson (Melvin) of Grapevine, Texas; brother-in-law, Don Gilmore (Lisa) of San Angelo, Texas; sister-in-law, Ruby Pitzer (Kenneth) of San Marcos, Texas; many nieces and nephews and caregivers, Melissa S, Shern F, Janet B, Jeana F and Lois H.

Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2019. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 pm. to 4:00 p.m. at Foster-Petering Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2019 at Greenhill Cemetery.
