Muskogee, Oklahoma - Cora Catherine Spradling, 87-year-old lifetime resident of Muskogee, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at the Quail Creek Senior Living in Oklahoma City. Born to William Penn and Etha Marie Boudinot on September 17, 1933, she was named after her grandmothers. She attended Muskogee public schools and graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1951. Immediately after graduation, she was employed as a telephone operator at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Later she was employed by W.B. Mayes Income Tax Company, and became the executive secretary of the Muskogee United Fund for 20 years.

In 1957, she married Floyd Spradling, and they were married until his death in 1977, after which she retired. She was a longtime member of the West Side Church of Christ, and she volunteered at Muskogee General Hospital. She became the caregiver to her parents, and her mother spent the last eight years of her life in Catherine's home. She enjoyed fishing, crafting, and shopping garage sales and flea markets. She loved gospel and country music and made many trips to Branson, MO. Catherine was an avid lover of her pets, especially cats, and had several at times.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, siblings Billie Marie Boudinot, Bobby Richard Boudinot, and Caroline Points as well as special friend of many years Glen Hamby. She is survived by sisters Shirley Scott and husband Eugene of Muskogee, and Juanita Bohlman and husband Curtis of Woodward, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday at Checotah Funeral Service, 211 West Okmulgee, Checotah, OK. Mrs. Spradling's funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, at the Memorial Park Mausoleum, with Harry Fitzgerald officiating and under the direction of Checotah Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Side Church of Christ or PAWS (Promoting Animal Welfare Society, Inc.).
