Carrie Mae Johnson Jones, 90, of Fort Gibson, OK passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at Fort Gibson.
Carrie was born June 20, 1926 in Winnsboro, LA, the daughter of James Grayston Johnson and Fannie Belle Harvey Baker. She married Dallas James Jones on February 6, 1941 at Gilbert, LA. Carrie was a homemaker and was a member of the Fort Gibson Church of Christ.
Carrie is survived by her loving husband Dallas Jones; 5 children Joyce Burdine and husband John of Fort Gibson, Dallas Jones Jr. and wife Clarice of Natchitoches, LA, Dennis Jones and wife Angie of Rockwall, TX, Kevin Jones and wife Dana of Stonewall, LA, Janet Kelley and husband Doyle of Broken Arrow, OK; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Carrie is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers James Johnson, Rogers Johnson and John Baker; son Jerry Leroy Jones; and daughter-in-law Sallie Ammons Jones.
There will be a public viewing Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home in Fort Gibson.
Funeral services for Carrie Mae Jones will be held 2:00 pm Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Fort Gibson Church of Christ followed by a burial ceremony at Citizen's Cemetery in Fort Gibson.
