Carolyn Yates
Carolyn Sue Hayes was born July 15, 1933. She was a bright, promising student, growing up in Muskogee. She attended the University of Oklahoma, and became registered nurse. She married Loren Kent Yates, with the intent of becoming medical missionaries to Africa. Unfortunately, a medical condition prevented her from being able to follow her dreams.
The pride and joy of her life was her 5 sons. She always wanted the best for them and was comforted knowing that each had found their own paths, with families of their own, and full, happy lives.
She is survived by her five sons: Robin, of Houston, Texas; Randy, of Maui, Hawaii, David, of Palm Harbor, Florida; Daniel of Austin, Texas; and Michael of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother James M. Hays III of Oklahoma City; one sister Mary Jo (Hays) Kimbro and husband Mike of El Paso, TX as well as 9 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday February 25, 2020 at Greenhill Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.
