Vian, Oklahoma - Bryan Allen Groves, 53, of Vian, Yukon and Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023, at his home. Bryan was born on April 2, 1969, in Dallas, Texas, the son of George Allen and Vivian Fern (Leflore) Groves. He graduated from Muskogee High School in 1987. Bryan served in the United States Marine Corps in Desert Storm and was honorably discharged. He then worked for the Indian Health Services as a security guard. Bryan married Cheryl Lynn Lamb on May 15, 2004, in Big Cabin, Oklahoma. Bryan worked as a police officer for the Bureau of Indian Affairs for twenty years and received several awards. Bryan loved fishing, lake life, boating, collecting knives and cooking on the grill.

Survivors include: his wife, Cheryl; children Roman Groves and wife Shawna, Kayla Albright and husband Zachary and Ranger Groves; sister, Jani Reheard; grandchildren, Koda Thelin, Kenai Thelin, Ryker Albright, Ryler Albright, Elijah Groves, Olivia Groves, Vivian Groves and Ryan Groves (on the way).

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2023, at the Timothy Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Hunn Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
