A celebration of the life of Bonnie Sue Wakefield will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Tahlequah City Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Bonnie passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016. She was 84 years old.

Bonnie was born in Mansfield, Missouri on May 28, 1932 to Claude and Elsie (Severns) Crider. Bonnie married Harold Lee Wakefield in a Sanger, California wedding ceremony and their union was blessed with three children. She was a wonderful wife and mother. Bonnie loved her family and was the ultimate homemaker. When grandchildren came along, they were the lights of her life.

Bonnie was quite skilled at crafting, creating many treasured quilts and sewing items for her family and friends. Bonnie also enjoyed bowling and was on a bowling league. She also made time to visit friends in the nursing home with the Jones Boys Band. Everywhere Bonnie went she brought joy and warmth to people she met. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Bonnie is survived by, Children, Beverly Rowan and husband Carl, Broken Arrow, OK; Brenda Rowan and husband Lonnie, Ft. Gibson, OK; Raymond Wakefield and wife Yolanda, Coweta, OK; Grandchildren, Sandra and Robert, William and Kay, Donny and Stephanie, Berry and Karen, Tammy and Jeff, Sharay and Blake, Brittany; Great Grandchildren, Zachary, Tory, Jacob, Jalynn, Bryan, Savanna, Tanner, Hunter, Tatum, Jentry, Logan, Nicole, Kassie, Seth, Abby, Malachi and Eli and one great, great grandchild on the way.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, brothers Gerald and Harold and sister Betty.
