Wynema "Kitty" Webster was born on November 27, 1935 in the Brushy Mountain area of Muskogee County. She passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the age of 81.
She worked at Muskogee General Hospital for 25 years. She retired from Connors State College after 25 years of service. Wynema enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved attending their activities. She also loved gardening and spending time in her flower beds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorsie (White) Pickard; brothers, Vernon Bales, Kenneth Bales, L.J. (Jeff) Bales, Robert Pickard and Roy Pickard; sisters, Juanita Smith and Charlotte Webb; her adorable granddaughters, Brandi Dixon Pickering and Nancy Dixon Fielding.
Wynema is survived by her loving husband, Bob of 44 years in July; children, Ricky and wife Karen Dixon of Warner, Brenda and husband Sherman Bales of Webbers Falls, and Glenda Pace of Perkins; grandchildren, Clay Bales, Tiffany Scrapper, Angela and husband Tim Prato, Robert and wife Kary Dixon, Michael Pace and fiancee' McCall Wilson; great grandchildren, Chloe Wagoner, Kylee Scrapper, Orion Fielding, Kade Bales, Elyssa Bales, Reed Pickering, Grayson Dixon, and Mason Dixon; along with many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family has chosen not to have viewing at the church service but would like to welcome family and friends for visitation at Cornerstone Funeral Home on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 12PM to 8PM and Friday, May 26, 2017 from 9AM to 12PM.
Funeral services celebrating Wynema's life will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 26, 2017 at Warner First Baptist Church with Pastor Sam Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Bennett Cemetery with grandsons, Clay Bales, Kade Bales, Orion Fielding, Michael Pace, Reed Pickering, and Robert Dixon serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Webster, Jack Webster, Jeep Hunnicutt, Jim Kilpatrick, and Truman Webb.
