Warren Ray "Stick" Walkingstick, 63, passed away early Sunday, October 30, 2016, at his home in Muskogee. He was born September 21, 1953, to Estel and Betty (Harrison) Walkingstick. "Stick" as his family and friends knew him by, grew up and attended Muskogee Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1971. He furthered his education and attended Indian Capitol Technology Center in 1972.
His hobbies include fishing, watching football and playing pool. "Stick's" family recalls his passion was his art; he was known as the "Graphite Guru." He loved drawing and mostly in pencil because of his color blindness. He loved and appreciated all types of art.
He was preceded in death by his father, Estel Walkingstick.
Warren is survived by his mother, Betty Walkingstick of Muskogee; his daughter, Shelly Jo Walkingstick of Fort Gibson; his son, Christopher Warren Walkingstick of Oklahoma City; 5 grandchildren; his sister, Pam Murphy and her husband Mike of Haskell; a host of other family members and many friends who will miss him dearly.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
