Text size

Tracy Ann Blair, 45, of Muskogee, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016. She was born on September 5, 1971 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to Richard Brown and Catherine (Kitty) Clements. Tracy grew up in Plum Island, Massachusetts, moving to Porum, Oklahoma when she was fourteen. She graduated from Porum High School and then attended Oklahoma State University. She married Greg Martin in 1992, and immediately became a mom to Jon, Amy, and Melissa. She gave birth to Ryan Alex Martin in 1993 and Zachary Adam Martin in 1997. She enjoyed a successful career in telecommunications and sales working for Southwestern Bell, Cisco Systems, and Alcatel Lucent. Tracy married Jim Paul Blair in 2008 and enjoyed a life of music living in Muskogee, OK. Tracy loved helping others and was very involved in many charities including Monarch, WISH, and American Red Cross. She enjoyed many "families", as she referred to many friends as her music family, tailgate family, New England Family, and others. However, her heart and soul was caring for her children. Tracy had a smile that brightened up every room she entered. She was an avid music fan and was responsible for organizing the "Okie Jam" music festivals in Muskogee and supporting the efforts of Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. She loved taking pictures of her family and friends, working her flower gardens, and making home improvements. Nothing pleased her more than sharing these same talents with her friends and could always be counted on to assist others in times of need. Tracy was preceded in death by her mother, Kitty Brown, her father, Richard Brown, and her stepfather David Archibald. She is survived by her husband, Jim Paul Blair of Muskogee; her sons Ryan Alex Martin and Zachary Martin of Muskogee; stepchildren, Jon Martin of Tahlequah, Amy Tucker (Paul) of Broken Arrow, Melissa Shoemake (Garry) of Muskogee, Jessi Blair of Dallas, Valerie Blair Henderson (Kelly) of Royse City, Texas, and Cassidy Blair of McAlester; Sisters Lynn Brown of New Hampshire, Sherry Kenyon (Kevin) of Newmarket, NH, and Heather Hughart (Boone) of Muskogee. She also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Tracy's name to WISH, PO Box 487, Muskogee, OK 74402; Monarch, 2310 W. Broadway St, Muskogee, OK 74401; or Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame Merle Haggard project, P.O. Box 3221, Muskogee, OK 74401. A music celebration will be held on Sunday, November 27th at 3pm at The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. Memorial Services will be 10:00 am Monday on November 28th at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Muskogee under the direction of Hibbs Funeral Home.
