Sharon Davis Marrs, 68, resident of rural Ft. Gibson OK, passed into the arms of her loving Savior on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Sharon was born on November 16, 1948 in Bartlesville, OK, the daughter of Louis M. Davis Sr. and Hazel V. (Yearout) Davis. She grew up in the Bartlesville/Dewey area graduating from Dewey High School with the class of 1967.
Sharon attended Bartlesville Cosmetology School and was an accomplished hair stylist for many years. She wed David Schultz on March 8, 1969 and from this union two children were born: Kristi Foster and Eric Schultz both of Wagoner, OK.
On March 13, 1999 Sharon married Gary Marrs in Eureka Springs AR. From this union she gained two wonderful step-children: David Marrs and Cindy Jones. Sharon loved her home located on 6 Mile road and worked very hard making it the perfect nest for her and her loving husband Gary. Outside of her love for her family, Sharon enjoyed camping with friends and family.
Sharon was a long time member of the Ft. Gibson Church of Christ. She was involved in a number volunteer groups at her Church with her favorite being the prison ministry outreach.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband Gary Marrs, her children, Kristi Foster & Eric Schultz both of Wagoner, OK, David Marrs & wife Destiny of Moore, OK, and Cindy Jones of Ft. Gibson. Sister Myrna Eisele & Husband Norman of Fredonia, KS. Brothers Louis Davis & wife Billie of Bartlesville, OK and Michael Davis & wife Debbie of Dewey, OK. Sharon was blessed with 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Sharon was preceded in death by her mother Hazel V. Davis and father Louis M. Davis Sr.
A Memorial Service for Sharon will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Ft. Gibson, OK Church of Christ located at 806 S. Lee Street in Ft. Gibson, OK under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Service.
Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend to many. Special thanks to the many loving Church of Christ members who volunteered many hours of their time helping to care for Sharon and preparing a great amount of delicious food for the family.
