Morna Voss died Saturday, December 3, 2016 in Fort Gibson. Morna was born October 11, 1921 in Love County, Oklahoma to Marion Austin Wilcoxson and Aria (Burton) Wilcoxson. She graduated from high school in Greenville, Oklahoma and attended East Center College at Ada, OK. She was a homemaker first, but also a library assistant at Tahlequah High School. She loved sewing, cooking, gardening - anything family and home. Shortly after retirement, she and her husband moved from Tahlequah, OK to Fort Gibson to be near their children. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
Morna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, of 65 years, Si Voss; son, Steve Austin Voss; daughter-in-law, Barbara Voss; two brothers, Raymond and Leonard Wilcoxson.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Delman Wilkie of Fort Gibson; son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Kay Voss of Huntington, AR; ten grandchildren, Michael LaJohn Jones, Kim Jones Vest, Tony Jones, Melody Voss Corrieri, Barbara Voss Whitworth, James N. Voss, LaVon Wilkie Savage, Wade Wilkie, Gavin Wilkie, and Tara Wilkie Friend; 17 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; several cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Funeral services for Morna will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the Church of Christ in Fort Gibson with Jerry Savage and Gavin Wilkie officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael LaJohn Jones, James N. Voss, Wade Wilkie, Gavin Wilkie, Caleb Wilkie, and Erik Friend. Honorary pallbearers will be Art Crittenden, Dewayne Arteberry, Jerry Vest, Tony Jones, and Jerry Savage. Burial will be in Warner Memorial Cemetery in Warner, OK, under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Fort Gibson.
Viewing for Morna will be Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
