Kathie Ilene (Hubler) Briley passed away from this mortal life on June 1, 2017 after a hard fought battle with cancer, at the age of 66. Delivered into this world by her father, Peter Penrose Hubler Jr., and Minnie Jewel (Treadwell) Hubler on June 6, 1950 at home in Gum Springs, OK. She attended Gum Springs School through the 8th grade, then graduated from Gore High School in 1968. She also attended Connors State College. Kathie was the mother of six children and loved telling everyone these past few years that she was a retired Domestic Engineer. Kathie was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Kathie was preceded in death by her father, Peter Penrose Hubler Jr.; two brothers, Darrell Hubler and Travis Hubler.
She is survived by her husband, William Duwayne Briley of the home; six children, Jared Briley and wife, Becca, of Webbers Falls, OK, Michelle Smith and husband, Brady, of Mnt. Green, UT, Heath Briley and wife, Rachel, of Webbers Falls, OK, Jason Briley and wife, Gabriela, of Muskogee, OK, Heather Ellis and husband, Aaron, of Webbers Falls, OK, Trenda Cruz and husband, Ricardo, of Fort Worth, TX; ex daughter-in-law, Judi Napier, of Waldron, AR; 23 grandchildren, Sydni Pena, Tyler Briley, Justin Briley, Alison Briley, Dallen Smith, Kaylee Smith, Landen Smith, Kaden Smith, Kiya Briley, Aubri Briley, Alejandro Briley, William Briley, Mario Briley, Cody Briley, Madilyn Ellis, Blake Ellis, Kambree Ellis, Kiersten Ellis, Lillian Ellis, Alexia Cruz, Ammon Cruz, Max Cruz, and Amelia Cruz; two great-grandchildren, Maximus Pena and Gabriel Pena.
Kathie enjoyed serving others and exemplified what it truly means to have the PURE LOVE OF CHRIST. Her last wish for her family and loved ones was to always choose the right, read your scriptures, and pray everyday.
Viewing will be held at the Agent Funeral Services Chapel in Gore, OK, on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The family will greet friends and loved ones from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Gore, OK, with Bishop Heath Briley presiding. Pallbearers will be Brady Smith, Aaron Ellis, Ricardo Cruz, Tyler Briley, Justin Briley, and Alejandro Briley. Honorary pallbearers will be Dallen Smith, Landen Smith, Kaden Smith, William Briley, Mario Briley, Cody Briley, Blake Ellis, Ammon Cruz, and Max Cruz. Burial will be in Vaught Cemetery in Webbers Falls under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee, OK.
