Joshua's Story

Joshua Michael Allen Rhoden, 22, of Muskogee, went to be with his Lord Friday, September 29, 2017. He was born November 19, 1994 to Johnny Allen Rhoden and Andria Jo-Jean Fleming in Muskogee, OK. He grew up and attended Muskogee and Warner Public Schools.
After high school Josh worked in construction for a couple of years before he went to work most recently with Casey's General Store. He loved going fishing, hunting, big trucks and spending time with family and friends. His family remembers him as always smiling and being happy! He had a huge heart and a special love for puppies! He loved his family and was always the life of their family get togethers! He was the prankster of the family.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronnie A. Rhoden; uncle, Michael Ryan Bair; and great-grandmother, Geraldine Rhoden; great-grandfathers, Thomas Boss and Wayne Fleming.
Josh is survived by his father, Johnny Rhoden and his wife Michelle of Webbers Falls; his mother, Andria Rhoden Shanks and fiancé Patrick Kinney of Tahlequah; his "Meme and Papa", Mike and Jeannie Bair of Muskogee; his grandmother, Jeannie Mason of Keefeton; great-grandmothers, Ada Boss of Muskogee and Mamie Fleming of Tulsa; his brothers, Levi Rhoden of Haskell, Brock Rhoden of Webbers Falls and Hunter Collins of Webbers Falls; his sister, Makayla Rhoden of Warner and Shelby Rose of Ft. Gibson; his nephews, Jayden and Jackson Rhoden of Haskell; many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members; and special forever friend, Desiray Pleas of Warner; along with many friends who will miss him dearly.
Josh's family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Cornerstone Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
A celebration of Josh's life will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at New Community Church with Brian Lanham and Curtis Spencer officiating. Pallbearers will be R.J. Wofford, Cody Brinsfield, Rodney Hawkins, Nick Pleas, Connor Adcock, Cameron Bradley, Hunter Collins, Gage Sparrow, Justin Owens and Kyler Mackey. Honorary pallbearers will be Levi Rhoden and Patrick Kinney. Interment will be in Citizen's Cemetery at Fort Gibson.
