Glenadine's Story

Glenadine Collier Noe Austin passed away Tuesday morning in her home in Wagoner at the age of 93 years. She was born September 17, 1923 in Moscow, Michigan to Glen H. and Pearl B. (Rogers) Collier. She graduated from Langston University in 1975 with a nursing degree. She married Marvin Andrew Austin on November 18, 1987 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wagoner where she led a bible study on Thursday mornings. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking and crocheting and was well known as the afghan lady in Wagoner. She loved to give to others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin Austin, her daughter Judith Ringle, her son, Pierce Noe and eight brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, John Muma and wife, Jackie, of Florida; her daughters, Wanda Hodson, Jimmie McCluer and Linda Brewer, all of Wagoner; one brother, Morris Collier of Michigan; special sister-in-law, Florence Riley of Michigan; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great, great-great and great-great-great grandchildren and a very special friend, Barbara Clifton of Arizona.
A rosary will be held at 6:30 PM, Sunday, March 12, 2017, in the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wagoner with a funeral mass at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 13, 2017, in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee under the direction of Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home, Wagoner.
