Flora's Story

Flora June Ranallo, age 88, long time resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Oklahoma City.
Flora was born in Haileyville, Oklahoma on May 29, 1929 to Helen Wansick. She graduated from high school in Haileyville. Later she met and married the love of her life Thomas Joseph Ranallo and they were married for sixty eight wonderful years. After Tom completed his military service they made their home in Muskogee and were blessed with six wonderful children. Flora and Tom were members of Sacred Heart and Saint Joseph Catholic churches for many years. Flora was a member of the Altar Society, choir, and served on several service committees. She was also a volunteer for the Women's Auxiliary at Muskogee General Hospital. Flora enjoyed gardening, sewing and playing Bridge. Flora loved family celebrations and holidays when her children and their families all came home. She also looked forward to family gatherings at the farm. Flora devoted her life to her family and the Church. She will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom and her mother, Helen Wansick Pilant.
She is survived by her six children, Sharon, Tom, Pam, Toni, Janice and Carolyn and their spouses. Flora was blessed with thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Proverbs 31:31 Acclaim her for the work of her hands, and let her deeds praise her at the city gates.
Rosary will be held on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hartshorne.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hartshorne with Father Bruce Brosnahan officiating. Interment will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Hartshorne following the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Cemetery.
