Earl Charles Minneman, passed from this life on January 12, 2017. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family and secure in his eternal destination.
Earl was born in Salina, KS on April 10, 1952 to Glyndon and Nellie (Jensen) Minneman. He started this life early, weighing in at only 3lbs 14oz, but he soon thrived into a healthy child, the youngest of three boys.
Earl graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1970 and continued his education at Bacone College, graduating with an Associates of Science Degree in Nursing in 1973. He worked as a Registered Nurse for 37 years in several local hospitals, including the Wagoner Community Hospital, Muskogee General Hospital (later, Muskogee Regional Medical Center), and retired from the Muskogee VA Medical Center in 2010 after 23 years of federal service. Earl loved caring for patients, spending a large part of his career providing care in the ICU of the VA hospital. He loved teaching and shared his experience, wisdom, and insight freely with students and his coworkers. He was greatly respected as a compassionate and highly skilled Nurse.
Earl married the love of his life, Annette, on March 28, 1980 and together they raised two children and shared 36 years of marriage. Earl was a hard worker and spent much of his free time caring for his home, yard, and working his garden. He loved spending time with family and friends and especially loved spending time with Annette, whether they were scouring the flea markets, cruising the Caribbean, or watching Netflix at home. Earl was a member of Timothy Baptist Church, Muskogee.
