Daniel's Story

Daniel Lee (Danny) Bledsoe passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in Checotah. He was born on Saturday, June 29, 1968 to Gary Bledsoe and Danna Childers in Muskogee. Danny grew up in Checotah and graduated from Checotah High School in 1986. After graduation, he enlisted in the Oklahoma Army National Guard graduating from basic training with a near perfect score on his exit exams. He then attended Connors State College and graduated from Roger's State College with a Degree in Psychology. Later his health slowed him down, however he still collected his comic books and action figures. He also made his daily trips to Wal-Mart and visited friends at the Checotah Indian Community. Danny was preceded in death by many members of his family. He is lovingly survived by his grandmother, Keitha Childers of the home; his parents, Danna Minnick of Checotah and Gary Bledsoe and his wife Vicki of Eufaula; his siblings, Brad Minnick, Lara Roberts, Robin Hayes and Ashley Heath. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, two very special great nephews, Kyson and Sawyer Newell of Apache Junction, AZ as well as other extended family and a lifetime of friends. We would like to extend a special thank you to Joe Parks, Mike Rice, Buzz Roberts, Dr. Chris Mitchell for your friendship with Danny all these years. Danny's wish was to be cremated and there are no services planned.
