Carole's Story

Carole Sue Woods, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 10, 2017. On this day 57 years ago, Carole and her husband Ron were joined in marriage at St. John's Episcopal Church. Carole was born February 3, 1940 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated from Edison High School in 1958 and attended the University of Tulsa where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. Carole loved music, enjoyed singing, and playing the piano. She returned to college and received her BA in music education from Northeastern State University in 1980. Carole sang in the choir at Grace Episcopal Church for 38 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert J. and Velma M. Coulter, and one sister Jan Rahmat.
Carole is survived by her husband Ron and their four children, Debra Rogers of Tulsa, Aaron Woods and wife Diane of Tulsa, Melissa Horvat of Tulsa, and Melinda Flora and husband Jeff of Skiatook. Carole is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 23rd at Grace Episcopal Church, 218 N. 6th Street in Muskogee, Oklahoma. After the service, please join the family as they continue the celebration of Carole's life in the church parish hall.
