Beverly Jean Emmons, 72, was born March 21, 1944 in Bakersfield, California to Ralph and Mary Frances (Lile) Long. And joined her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma with family by her side. A longtime resident of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. She grew up in Lakeworth, Texas where she met and married the love of her life, Jerry Emmons. She was a member of the Fort Gibson Church of Christ, where she was active in the prison ministry. She also worked many years as an office manager for a medical practice. Her most cherished time in life was spent as a homemaker with her family. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Emmons, parents, Ralph and Mary Long and a sister, Linda Calhoun. She is survived by her daughters; Karen Clark and her husband Frank, Kathy Avery and her husband Joe and Karla Taylor. Grandchildren; Alexandra Taylor, Zachary Taylor and Rachel Avery; sister, Phyllis Cocke and sister in law Ramona Allums.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Beverly J Emmons will be held, 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Fort Gibson Church of Christ with Minister Dan Rouse officiating. Interment will follow at the Sonora Cemetery in Okmulgee County.
