Beulah's Story

Beulah Mae (Pruitt) Haddock was born on March 12, 1932 near Haskell, Oklahoma in Muskogee County to Bonnie (Wilburn) and Ernest Pruitt. She passed from this life to her heavenly home on January 2, 2017 at Eastar Hospital in Muskogee.
Beulah lived in the Haskell area until she graduated from Haskell High School in May 1949 when she moved to Muskogee and went to work at the Muskogee Daily Phoenix newspaper in early June 1949. There, she met Levi Haddock and they married six months after meeting. They were married over 64 wonderful years, until Levi passed away on March 25, 2014. In July 1965, she went to work for the Social Security Administration in Muskogee and worked there until her retirement on April 3, 1992. She was also an Avon representative for 25 years.
Beulah and Levi were blessed with two boys, Gary and Ronnie. She loved her family, her church and her church family. She enjoyed meeting and talking with people, liked to work on family history and history of her church. She was Sunday school secretary from October 29, 1967 at Oldham Memorial Baptist Church and was a member there since February 14, 1960. She liked to write poetry, paint and draw pictures, and was an avid reader.
Beulah was next to the oldest of seven children. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son, Gary; brothers, Elbert, Paul Wayne, Gene Larry; sisters, Marjorie, and Erma. She is survived by one son, Ronnie Haddock of Muskogee; grandson, Sean Haddock and wife, Stephanie; great-grandsons, Tristan and Chase; daughter-in-law, Carol Haddock, all of Jenks; one sister, Loreece Kelly of Cushing; special friends, Cindy Wise, Stephen Ezell, Sherry Medley, Virgil Medley, Charlee and Kim Medley; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers include Virgil Medley, Ivan Burge, Wes Young, Jeff Walker, Keith Wallace, and Junior Blankenship. Honorary pallbearers are Ken Aldridge and John Hallford. Memorial Services will be conducted by Glen Little, Pastor of Oldham Memorial Baptist Church, 3605 Tahlequah Street, Muskogee, Oklahoma, at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 6, 2017, followed by a short service at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.
