Betty Elaine Miesner, 71, of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017. She was born June 24, 1945 to Herschel and Ruby Marie (Cottrell) Clairday, in the family home, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
She graduated from Jonesboro Schools. Then married and began raising her family. In 1979, after moving to Okay, Oklahoma she worked for UPS as a delivery driver, retiring in 2008.
Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren and cooking big dinners for her family. Betty was her grandchildren's biggest fan and never missed a ballgame. She would drive out of state for special games. Her daughters will cherish the times she coached their teams.
She was preceded in death by her parents Herschel and Ruby Marie Clairday; sister-in-laws, Peggy Clairday, Alice Clairday, and Jan Clairday.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Kristy Huitt and partner Jeff Larson of Fort Gibson, OK, Kim Burch and husband Eddie of Okay, OK; son, Ronnie Miesner of Okay, OK; grandchildren, Jennifer Hughes of Hot Springs, AR, Zack McFarland of Fort Gibson, OK, Lacie Arias and husband Cesar of Okay, OK, Ciara Lewis and husband Jack of Muskogee, OK, Bailey Burch of Okay, OK, Kolbi and Kailey Miesner of Porter, OK; brothers, Jim Clairday of Muskogee, OK, Bob Clairday and wife Iva of Jonesboro, AR, Bill Clairday of West Monroe, LA, twin Wayne Clairday of Okay, OK, David Clairday of Okay, OK; special-sister-in-law, Joy Rogers of Muskogee, OK; along with many great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends who will miss her dearly.
A celebration of Betty's life will be 10:00A.M., Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tammy Harless officiating.
