Alma Louise Johnson, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 20, 2017, while surrounded by her family. She was born October 20, 1930 in Stigler to Joseph Oscar and Robbie Lee Neely. She married Paul Johnson and they made their home in Muskogee. She was a homemaker, known for her cream pies and loved spending time with family and friends. She loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church and singing in the choir. She also supported the Porter 4-H and FFA clubs by donating her pies and cobblers for many years.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband Paul Johnson; her parents, Joseph and Robbie Neely. She is survived by three children, Janice Smith of Muskogee, Terry Kennedy and wife Kathy of Muskogee, and Beth Acree and husband Kent of Porter; seven grandchildren, Misty Brumm of Muskogee, Larry Kennedy and wife Amanda of Muskogee, Amy Walters and husband Mike of Muskogee, Mark Kennedy of Brooklyn, NY, Candace Acree of Porter, Kendra Rush and husband Rusty of Porter, and Katelyn Farris and husband Brantley of Villa Grove, IL; eight great grandchildren, June Brumm, Tyler Kennedy, Madison Kennedy, Zoee Walters, Rylie Rush, Zach Walters, Kenley Ball, Kelcie Rush; two brothers, JB Neely and wife Joy of Broken Arrow and Leon Neely and wife Elaine of Tulsa; one sister, Ann Ivey of Muskogee; and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Louise Johnson will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 24, 2017 at Ash Street Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Pugh officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
