Funeral services for Vivian Pauline Heaton Matthews, 92, of Stigler, OK, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Porum with Reverend Pat Alexander officiating. Pallbearers will be Jerry McClellon, Ross Heaton, Matthew McClellon, Josh McClellon, Blaine Thompson, and Thomas Sandoval. Burial will be in Fields Cemetery in Porum, OK, under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Webbers Falls.
Vivian was born February 17, 1924 at Porum, OK, the daughter of Famous and Ira Dell (Shoemake) Tony and died Sunday, January 1, 2017 in Stigler, OK. She married Ben Heaton in 1942 and together they raised four children. He preceded her in death. In 2007 she married David W. Matthews in Van Buren, AR. Vivian was a homemaker and excellent cook who enjoyed quilting, and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband, David of the home; children, Alene Page and husband, Jerry McClellon, of Santa Rose, CA, Sue Young of Boise, ID, Wayne Heaton and wife, Jean, of Stigler, Darrell Heaton and wife, Evelyn, of Queen Creek, AZ; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Dolly Owen of Porum, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ben; two brothers; and two sisters.
