Theodore R. "Ted" Newell III, 60, of Oktaha, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, December 12, 2016. He was born on September 14, 1956 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Theodore R Newell Jr and Wanda Sue Morgan Newell. He graduated from Oktaha Public Schools then attended trade school and became a welder and fitter.
He worked for Verdigris Steel and then American Tank. Later he enjoyed going to work with his daughter, Lacey, at Leggett Supplies.
Ted will always be remembered for his love of the outdoors. At the early age of 4, he took great pride in his ability to build string and stick corrals. As the years moved forward he loved to fish, hunt coon, coyote and bobcats. Ted had many talents including drawing, particularly hot rods. Flower baskets became his passion which adorned his front porch along with his windmills. His family recalls there was not an Elvis Presley song he did not know or a western show he hadn't seen.
He was loved dearly and will be truly missed.
Ted was preceded in death by his father, Ted Newell Jr.
He is survived by his son, Ted Newell IV "Little Teddy" and companion Karen Creason of Wainwright, OK; daughter, Lacey Newell Conley and husband Danny of Muskogee, OK; mother, Wanda Morgan Newell of Wainwright; siblings, Edward Wayne Newell and wife Alice, Penny Newell Kampf and husband Elliott, all of Muskogee, OK, and Phyllis Newell Coplan and husband Ron of Wainwright, OK; grandchildren, Madison Nicole Newell, Jake Cole Conley, and Grace Jean Conley; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, other family members and friends.
