Text size

Sherry Jeanette Thompson, 56, of Warner, Oklahoma entered Heavens gates, Thursday, April 27, 2017. She was born November 2, 1960 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Clarence and Helen (Tacker) Guthrie. She grew up and attended Warner Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1978.
Shortly after graduation, Sherry married the love of her life, Terry Thompson, June 24, 1978 at First Assembly of God in Warner, Oklahoma. Soon to be celebrating their 39th anniversary of a happy marriage and life together.
Sherry's passion was owning her in home daycare, Sherry's House Daycare. The community remembers her kindly and trusted her as she shaped the lives of the children of Southern Muskogee County. As her daycare grew, Sherry attended many classes to gain more certification to help her daycare become the very best it could be.
Spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends was very important to Sherry. Connie Lee, Donna Elliott, Jamie Morris, and John Kevin Guthrie were very close to Sherry and always there when she needed them. Her family remembers she cared more about giving than receiving.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Virgil and Bertha Guthrie and Earl and Cora Tacker.
