Ruby Mae Tarwater, 79, passed away peacefully May 2, 2017. She had lived in Muskogee, Oklahoma all her life and loved her family dearly. She was a long time cook at Paul's Diner until her health started getting bad. She will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy Tarwater; parents, Lester and Lila Ogden; grandson, Ronnie (Bug) Hinds Jr.; sister Hazel Kingston; brothers, John Ogden and Lester Ogden; and son-in-law, Johnny Milligan.
Ruby is survived by her daughters, Brenda Milligan of the home, Janice Hinds and husband Ronnie of Muskogee, OK, Sharon Weaver and husband Kerney of Muskogee, OK, and Tonya Tarwater and husband Chuck Thompson of Muskogee, OK; sons, Ronnie Tarwater and wife Angie of Muskogee, OK, and Gary Tarwater and wife Patty of Muskogee, OK; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Byrd and husband Ross of Muskogee, OK; brother, Jerry Ogden and wife Lanna of Tulsa, OK. She adopted and raised two granddaughters, Gaye Irwin of Muskogee, OK, and Dawn Walker and husband Lynn of Muskogee, OK.
A celebration of Ruby's life will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 8, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Glen Little officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Troy Thompson, Trey Thompson, Trenton Thompson, Daniel Montgomery, Matt Huggins, and Tyler Thompson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Irwin, Jared Hinds, Chaz Tarwater, Casey Stout, James Allen, and Dai'Shawn Allen.
