Ronald Ray Emmons, 84, of Oktaha, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017. He was born June 16, 1932 to Winfred and Thelma (Clark) Emmons in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He grew up attending Muskogee Public Schools.
He was a self-employed cars salesman for many years. He also worked at L.B. Price and Filter Queen. Ronald loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. He was an avid fan of football and enjoyed watching it when he could. He loved playing music, and was very talented in playing many different instruments.
Ronald is preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom & Millie Clark; parents, Winfred & Thelma Emmons; wife, Viola Jackie Emmons; sister, Joyce Keith; Nephew, Mike Keith; and his beloved dog, Biscuit.
He is survived by his sisters, Joann Argo, Pat Hanson, and Debbie Byrum all of Muskogee, OK; brother, Sid Emmons of Muskogee, OK; daughters, Rhonda Morrison and husband Kenny, Gwen Coburn and husband Bob, Cathy Scroggins and husband Terry all of Muskogee, OK; step daughter, Tammye Avant and husband Clint of Oktaha, OK; step son, Mark Stevens of Muskogee, OK; grandchildren, Jason Henry, Brent Henry, Joey Coburn, Jamie Coburn, Clint & Donica Avant, Jamie Buchanan, Stacey Hodson, and Sean Scroggins; nephews & nieces, John Hanson, David Hanson, Kim Knudsen, Dolin Argo, Craig Emmons, Kristen Sarracco, Sid, Jr. Emmons, and Robin Ross; numerous special great grandchildren, great nephews and nieces.
A celebration of Ronald's life will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donnie Echols officiating. Interment will follow at Three Rivers Cemetery with John Hanson, Craig Emmons, Dolin Argo, Clint Avant, Dillon Argo and Wesley Willbanks serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Avant and Jason Henry.
