Rodger Lynn Futhey


Rodger Lynn Futhey, 73, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019. He was born on June 9, 1946 to Jack Futhey and Anna Mae (Adamson) Futhey in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Rodger graduated from Dewy High School with the class of 1964. He later went to Spartan School of Aeronautics.
Rodger served as First Sergeant in the United States Marines Corp during Vietnam and had many awards. He later received an honorable discharge.
Rodger married the love of his life, Bonita Kay Perry, on November 20, 1970 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. They shared over 48 years of life and marriage together.
Rodger worked at Koch Industries as a Lab Technician until his retirement in 2002. He was also a rancher for many years and enjoyed messing with his cows. Rodger also enjoyed going fishing with his brother-in-law, being outdoors, and being on his farm. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Anna Mae Futhey.
Rodger is survived by his wife, Bonita Futhey of the home; sister, Linda Remke of Bartlesville, OK; brother-in-law, Roy Perry of Muskogee, OK; sister-in-law, Marilyn Spencer and husband Jimmy of Tulsa, OK; uncle, Dean Clark of Bartlesville, OK; and several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A private family service has been set at a later date.
