Robert (Bob)'s Story
Robert (Bob) Franklin Wilson departed this life for his heavenly home at the age 93. Bob was born on June 7, 1923 in Hannah, Oklahoma to James and Lillian Wilson. He completed middle school in Checotah, Oklahoma and later obtained his high school diploma from Colorado Public Schools. He married the love of his life, Edith Carr, on September 12, 1942 and together they raised two daughters Jonelle Cline and Paulette Lorsbach.
Bob joined the United States Army in 1943 where he served as a cook until being honorably discharged in 1946. He worked for H.B. Egan Manufacturing and was later employed by Three Forks Electric. He was active in the Masonic Temple.
Bob enjoyed life. He especially enjoyed laughing with his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outside with his family playing croquet, yard darts and horseshoes. He could be found piddling in his shop or outside with his horses and cattle. Bob also loved the Lord and was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Muskogee, OK. He was a true cowboy who loved Ronald Reagan, John Wayne westerns and Bob Wills music.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Billy and Kenneth, sisters Hazel Jackson and Nellie Porrevechio, his wife Edith, daughter Jonelle Cline and son-in-law George Cline, daughter Paulette Lorsbach and Don Lorsbach and grandson Jake Matthews.
He is survived by three sisters, Pauline Abbott, Eunice Rogers and Thelma Whitehead; four granddaughters, Lynna Moore, Lisa and Don Lakotish, Luana and Tom Tucker and Cindy and Tim Matthews.; great grandchildren, Stephanie and Phil Jordan, Eric and Cassie Moore, Sarah Moore, Joseph and April Moore, Rachel and Derek Knotts, Rebekah Moore, Amber and Matt Ward, Tricia and Geoff Bennett, Zach and Lacy Tucker, Meghan and Mike Collins, Melody and Cody Hiner, Luke Tucker, Halley Tucker and Katie Matthews and 16 great-great- grandchildren.

Funeral services for Bob will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27th at Immanuel Baptist Church. Pastors officiating are Glenn Cox, Nate Capps and Tom Tucker. Pallbearers are Eric Moore, Joseph Moore, Zach Tucker, Luke Tucker, Cody Hiner, Tim Matthews, Don Lakotish and Tom Tucker. Honorary pallbearers are Buck Thornton, Jerry Abbott and Gary Andrews. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetary in Checotah, OK.
