Pat Azhari, 81, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Muskogee. She was born at home in Pineville, LA. Pat graduated from Kenner HS in Kenner, LA.
She moved to Muskogee and called it home for most of her adult life. Pat was the proprietor of "The Show Ring", a dog grooming business and belonged to many civil organizations over the years. A proud member of PAWS, she donated her services to the organization often.
Pat was a long term and active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included antiquing and especially gardening; a passion she shared with family. She enjoyed hosting dinners with family and friends, insisting on formal dinnerware, never with paper plates. Above all, Pat was most proud and devoted to her children and their pursuits.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Vivian Small; brother, Wayne Spier; and grandson, Drew Gibson.
Pat is survived by her children, Robert James Hurst Jr (Teri) of Malakoff, TX, Wesley James Hurst, Vivian Renee Lamb (Donnie), and Robin Ann Gibson, all of Muskogee; grandchildren, T.J. Timberlake, Tori Mitzel, Robert Spencer Hurst, Shelby Alexandria Ellis, Daniel Lee Jolliff, and Samantha Jean Jolliff ; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Small (Denise) of Gladstone, MO; cousin, Rita DeLafosse of Austin, TX; along with other family members and friends who will miss her greatly.
Funeral services celebrating Pat's life will be 10AM, Thursday, March 15, 2018 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Ray Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.
