Otis grew up in Okay, Ok where he graduated from Okay High School in 1960. His first job was working for Ollie Ash Service Station. He met the love of his life, Betty Hays shortly after graduation on a blind date at a Gospel singing at the school in Okay. On November 10, 1961 Otis married his best friend, Betty, a marriage that stood the test of time of 56 years, two months and seven days. Otis started his career with MKT Railroad in 1966 and retired after 23 years in 1989. Otis enjoyed many hobbies, playing pool, bowling, race cars, camping and fishing. Upon Betty retiring you could find them camping at the lake. The love Otis had for his family and especially his grandkids was evident in how he lived his life. He would put others before himself.
