Myrtle's Story

Myrtle Marvell Baroli, 93, long time resident of Muskogee and later Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away June 21, 2017. Marvell was born in Opello, Arkansas October 9, 1923.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Baroli; parents, Oscar Burton Brown and Grace Myrtle Hansurd; daughter, Loretta Faye Self; and son, Michael Henry Baroli.
Marvell is survived by her daughter, Betty Baroli Barton and husband, Ben M. Barton; son-in-law, Kenneth Self and daughter-in-law, Josphine Baroli; granddaughter, Jennifer Griffin and Kathryn Baroli; grandsons, Joshua Self and Andrew Barton; great-grandchildren, Ella and Evan Griffin, Lucy and Cooper Barton.
Marvell graduated high school in Morrilton, Arkansas. Later met and married Bill Baroli, to whom she was married for 62 years. She and Bill were long-time residents of Muskogee and members of First Baptist Church of Muskogee. Marvell cherished times with her family and special girl times with long-time friends of her daughters.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Marvell will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church Chapel of Muskogee, with viewing to be at Bradley Family Funeral Service in Muskogee from 4:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Interment will follow services at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband at noon.
