Mildred Irene Tincher, 88, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Monday, September 4, 2017. She was born October 22, 1928 to William and Luella Mable (Tounzen) Bitting in Marble City, Oklahoma. She graduated from Muskogee Central High School on May 22, 1947. Mildred married the love of her life, Leon Sneed Tincher, on August 6, 1949 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
She was a telephone operator at Southwestern Bell and also worked at Walmart until her retirement on April 6, 1985. Mildred loved square dancing and sewing. She made several square dance dresses for herself and many of her friends. Mildred loved her family very much and enjoyed taking care of them. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, William and Luella Bitting; husband, Leon Tincher; son, Joe Tincher; and siblings, Glen Bitting, Watie "Corby" Bitting, and Patsy Le Gate.
She is survived by her children, David Lee Tincher and wife Jill and Pamela Isaacs and husband Tom; grandchildren, Ashley Bertalot and husband Kevin, Erica Bales, Taylor and Cydney Lewis, Cody Isaacs and wife Brittany, and Casey Isaacs; great-grandchildren, Haley and Story Bales, Mason, Karson, Chaeson, Channing and Lincoln Lewis; many nieces and nephews along with many other family members and friends.
A celebration of Mildred's life will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 8, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kelly Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
