Michael Wayne Spittler


Michael Wayne Spittler passed this life on January 21, 2019 at the age of 69, in the loving care of Clarehouse Hospice from complications of exposure to Agent Orange, while serving in Vietnam. He was born on February 15, 1949 in Marshall, Illinois to Dean and Esther (Hesson) Spittler.
Michael moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1968 to attend flight school, he returned to Tulsa after serving in the Vietnam war and in 1983 he moved to Wagoner, Oklahoma where he married the love of his life, Patricia. Michael was an accomplished pilot and was a member of the Tahlequah Flight Club for many years. He loved living at the lake and he enjoyed taking his boat out and fish. Michael loved his cats and had a natural talent for working with wood. He retired from Metals USA in 2017.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Esther (Hesson) Spittler.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Spittler of the home, brother, George Daniel Spittler and his wife, Vicki of Indianapolis, Indiana, sister -in-law, Deborah Miller and husband Ron of Dearborn, Michigan and brother- in- law, Micheal Stewart of Ypsilanti, Michigan. Michael will also be greatly missed by many who knew him.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contribution may be send to the Clarehouse located at 7617 S. Mingo Road, Tulsa Oklahoma 74133.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. The arrangements of his cremation are entrusted to Shipmans Funeral Home and Crematory of Wagoner, Oklahoma.
