Mary Rudolph Hardin AKA "Mema", a lifelong resident of Muskogee, OK left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on July 2nd, 2017. At the age of 93, she was an extraordinary example of love, courage, forgiveness, compassion and endurance.
Mary was born on November 2nd, 1923. She was adopted as an infant by Barry A. Rader and Eula C. Rader. The Rader's continued to foster and adopt children for many years. Mary was the eldest of them all, and she helped to care for and raise over 100 children... even buying the house next door to her parents after marrying to continue to help take care of her family.
Mary married Horace R. Rudolph on October 27th, 1945. They had one child, Kay Lynn Rudolph. They remained married until his death in 1990. She was fortunate enough to find love again, and married Lonnie Hardin on May 1st, 1993. They were married for five years until his death in 1998.
Mary was a lifelong member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. She was a Deacon, an Elder and she volunteered in the church office for over 15 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay Rudolph Wyatt and son-in-law, Jerry L. Wyatt of Owasso, OK; one granddaughter, Stacey Redfearn and husband Darrin of Muskogee; great-grandchildren, Brittany Wilson and Talon Wooten, both of Muskogee; a brother, Kenny Rader; a sister, Frances Smart; stepson, Edward Hardin and wife, Gina; stepdaughter, Melba Ranks and husband, Bud; many nieces and nephews, her church family, and her extended family beyond bloodline barriers.
Viewing will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 10th at Foster-Petering Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at Presbyterian Church of Muskogee, 2000 Haskell Blvd. on Tuesday, July 11th at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
