Mark Mason Hine was born November 8, 1952 in Muskogee, OK to Dr. and Mrs. Ted S. Hine. He died on Monday, June 12, 2017 in Tulsa, OK.
Mark attended Muskogee Public Schools, Northeastern State University and University of Oklahoma where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. He graduated with a degree in Journalism and Communications. He was a disc jockey and announcer on KMUS Radio and several FM radio stations in Tulsa and worked at Channel 8 TV.
Growing up in Muskogee, he was active in boy scouts, little league baseball, and was an all-conference basketball player in high school. He taught himself how to play the guitar and put together a band with neighborhood friends. He was active in youth group in St. Paul United Methodist Church. He refereed little league baseball in his later teenage years.
He began a moving company he called Budget Movers of Tulsa that he operated for a number of years. He wrote, directed and appeared in three full length movies that appeared on TV. Through the years he produced and arranged concerts for Willie Nelson, B B King and this last year for Lyle Lovett. In the last few years he was an active long distance runner.
In his lifetime he touched many lives and leaves behind a host of friends and family who loved him so dearly in life.
He was preceded in death by his much loved sister, Linda Susan and his grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. John Haddock and Dr. and Mrs. Otto Hine.
He is survived by his wife, Sheral; son, Max; daughter, Priscilla; parents, Dr. and Mrs. Ted S. Hine; brother, Dr. Craig Hine; sister, Kim Hine; and nieces and nephews.
There will be visitation Friday, June 16, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm at Bradley Funeral Service.
A funeral service honoring the life of Mark Hine will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 17, 2017 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with David Burris officiating.
The family suggest memorials made to American Cancer Society or St. Paul United Methodist Church.
